  1. This is a batch-file backup program that you can easily to modify to backup everything you want by changing the contents of the batch files (ba*.bat and res*.bat) and the content of ba*.txt. The program makes no change to your computer configuration.

  3.      In this zip file you will find:

  12. Requirements: Windows 95, a free compression program LHA.EXE.

  14. This software is email-ware. If you make any implements to the software, please let me know. Thanks. I only create the batch files (you can create them yourself too) to automate the operations of LHA.EXE.

  20. You can backup to and restore from hard drive or floppy disk:
  21.    The files backup.bat, restore.bat for backing up to and restoring from your hard drive. Backup.txt contains all the filenames you want to backup to your HD.
  22.    The files bakup2fp.bat, restorefp.bat for backing up to and restoring from your floppy disk. Bakup2fp.txt contains all the filenames you want to backup to floppy.

  24.    You have to get a copy of lha.exe. Place the file lha.exe to <drive:>\lha. Then edit Ba*.bat, Resto*.bat to reflect the new location for this file. (In my batch file it's located in D:\LHA.) Create a shortcut of Ba*.bat to your desktop to easily access it (change its icon too if you like.) Moreover, you can place the Ba*.bat with pathname in autoexec.bat to run backup every time you start your computer.

  26.    You can edit the contents of ba*.txt to backup everything you want (to hard drive only.) The BAKUP2FP.BAT is good enough to backup all your configuration files to just one floppy disk. NOTE: please read the content of Ba*.txt to make change in complying with your actual softwares on your machine.

  28.    If you double-click BACKUP.BAT to backup your configuration, you should run RESTORE.BAT at DOS-prompt to restore. The same action is for BAKUP2FP.BAT and RESTOREFP.BAT.
